Downtown Brown & Brown Construction Update: March 2019

Construction on our brand new Beach Street campus in Downtown Daytona Beach is well underway!

Barton Malow, Brown & Brown’s general contractor, worked with Berkel & Company to drive 269 pilings 38’ into the ground. These foundational pilings, and while not visible once vertical construction takes place, are the key to ensuring that our new building is Built to Last®.

Each piling location is targeted, drilled down, and filled with 6,000 psi grout as the auger is raised. The team then drops rebar or a metal cage to reinforce the piling. Watch the video above to see how this process is seamlessly performed.
